When implementing a 4-day workweek, it is important to consider these factors based on the experiences of hundreds of organizations:

  1. Be intentional about which day to take off

  2. Allow flexibility, but within limits

  3. Keep salaries the same, based on output not hours

  4. Review vacation and PTO/OOO policies, adjust if necessary

  5. Model change from the top

Sample 4-Day Workweek Program

4-Day Work Week plan built for startup, small and medium sized enterprises

  1. 32 hours with 8 hours per day for 4 days

  2. No work emails responses after 2 pm on the 4th day

  3. No meeting agenda for team members after 4 pm on the 4th day (Thursday)

  4. First Monday of the month is reserved for 3-month team schedule plan

  5. First and 3rd week Monday of the month are reserved for month team schedule plan

  6. Monday and Thursday are reserved for meetings (brainstorming, team agenda, management forum, etc.) between 10 am to 3 pm

  7. Tuesday and Wednesday are reserved for daily and weekly priority tasks

  8. Thursday at 4 pm is reserved for team get together (indoor or outdoor social engagement .

5th Day sample plans:

  1. Team members/employees can participate in one of our membership partnership programs including: coaching kids/teenager program, feed the homeless and other food drives, community garden program, community volunteers, furry friends in need program and other wellness programs and non-profit organizations designed to promote wellbeing, community service, and human engagement.

  2. Assessment and Evaluation - Performed to assess your company’s needs and create personalized 4-day program goals based on these needs.

  3. Design, Create, Develop - Created with you and your employees in mind by tailoring the program with different options and optional premium services and leveraging the added value through quick turnaround implementation time.

  4. 4-Day Week Program - Implemented through the company’s unique and personalized preferences with a 1 month pilot program to deliver the highest desired output and achieve the overall empowerment amongst your employees. One-Year Certification is affirmed after the pilot program is successfully completed.

Companies can participate annually. As the company grows, so does the need for change. We are committed to giving your company the highest added value based on your employees’ needs. There is a yearly assessment and evaluation process to pass certification.
